2) What type of program are you using?(i use gimp ,Sketch book pro,PS touch,Adobe Photoshop cs5 extended)
3) How much experience you have with your program and making sigs?gimp(3years)Sketchbook pro(1 year)PS touch (1 month)and CS5(1 year i am trying to use this more and ps touch )AS far a sigs i started 6 years ago on website but i dont remember them. I am a artiest i work with paint pastel, clay, and other materials. I help the local high school art teacher with projects. I dont know i that was much
4) Do you want to be a freelancer or become full-time? (Freelancer)
(Freelancer allows you to stay in your current clan & be part of the design team. If you choose full-time you will be expected to make a divisional transfer to join XDC)

thnx for applying. we follow a "trend" you may say of how we do signatures. I would recommend looking up tutorials online, deviantart.com is a good resource. text placement is very difficult to do, so I would suggest working on that.

The arm is messed up along with the face having too strong of effects on it also the image is squished. None of it really works bluntly put

please explain i dont understand its mess up? the main pic of johnny is in tac i just resize it i put a pic o a forest on top made it a screen moved it to a side .ooh whats text placement i looked on the tutorial all i found was Colorful Light Burst Text

Well like ya said its just the picture that you cropped and then slapped a foresbeen top

1. Make your focal clean and cleAr of heavy effects if you do put effects on your focal do it lightly and lower the opacity on the effect

2. Try actual making something only thing I can see that you did is the text wich wasn't bad just try not to place text in the corners because it can cause attention to drift away from the focal

That helps I didn't know what you meant before you right on the effect it is to strong I will fix it. I didn't crop or erase lol I have to ask do you have a class or a private lesson so I can see the trend cause I think I am putting my painting and drawing ideas with pics online I see it's a lot different

I believe XGC Ixias is going to be doing a sort of basics of photoshop & sig making in the future maybe message her and see if shes able to help you out some?

Ok To start off thanks for applying and remember to keep submitting designs.

Now for the critique, All of your designs are clustered and don't have a certain direction of flow. You also use bright "WOW" colors with darker ones. In some of your sigs you have to many colors, try using only like 2 or three around the same color intensity. The images you use are stretched and distorted. When resizing a image in photoshop press cntrl t hold the shift button and drag the corner of the image to the desired size. Last but not least text and text placement, your image should be the main focus what we as the viewers want to see text is just a add on when i looked at your sig the first thing i did was read the text not look at the image. Plus you have to much text on your designs you only need like one 1- 4 words, also your blending and choice of font needs improvement but that always comes in time.

Could I get my application somehow moved to video editing? i find it easier and funner, seeing as how the only still picture i would need to make look good would be the thumbnail for the youtube.

I think you have to be part of XDC to fo the videos

You'll have to make a new app this has nothing to do with videos neither does anything else you've done in this app

As far as I can tell, there is no application process for Video Design yet. My suggestion to you would be to finish out your application here and become an XDC member so you can start working on video projects as well. I personally use my gfx skills in video production, so this might still be good for you. =)
