Hey y'all I am headed of to Lackland AFB for basics July 15th then headed off to tech school for tactical aircraft maintenance just thought I would say hi to everyone

i'm probably gonna be joining the air force sometime in the near future. my boyfriend nick aka XGC Zues was in the security forces for 4 years.
u must of not have gone to dover afb.....it makes the af seem like ****......ive talked to all the airmen here and they want to get out of dover and the af all together...so please dont wish for dover....trust me....dont get me wrong please join the military ive just come to realize that it isnt for me.....priorities (sp) are all wrong for me
I'm stationed at F.E. Warren AFB in Wyoming, don't talk to me about crappy bases.... Haha. It is what you make it, so if you have a crappy time it's your fault.
Yea I think FE is down towards the bottom of the base list, lol. I went through there years ago passing though. I dont know whats worse though, being at there or being deployed and only home for a few months at at time... i was at a decent base, but i was never there, lol
I know what you mean Rahzulus, Im stationed at FE Warren as an FMT.
Im an E-3, been in for a year know and Im loving it so much. The only thing that I've noticed was that i am too far away from home to do too much of anything for my friends and family.
yeah....if u only knew what maintainers really did most of the time....just the other day i was covered from head to toe in grease....cause i had to crawl through the bottom of an aircraft to realize that i head to replace 4 brackets which turned out to be the hardest repair ever known to man......lol but thats the life of a maintainer and i love it.....i just hate the Af
I always like the maintenance troops, they kept us company on the flight line at night. we would always mess with each other back and fourth.
yes, the boredom can get ridiculous some times, especially at nite. I remember many nights as a wee airman on the line, id get bored, start walking the line,counting AC, seeing which one is the oldest, lame stuff like that. You can only read the OI's so many times. And you never wanna study your CDC's out there, that will put you out in less then five mike.
yea, ive caught some troops of mine sleeping, i found one parked in the corner of the flight line one night, with his cdc's open, and only on the first page, lol. i know i fell asleep standing up at the main gate one night with my eyes open, it was rough sometimes.
