lol

Packers do not own the Colts, maybe the chargers but they would be slaughtered by the Colts.

You are mistaken if you think pro football players play to have fun. They play to get paid and they get paid by being successful.

The Patriots win by alot because they can. They make pro teams look Semi pro.

So if they only play to win then how come the Patriots keep stacking on the points at the end of games? Obviously not because they're in it just to win.

because the patriots are that good.

they want to show everyone how good they are and how bad the other team is to go against them.

2 Favorite Teams
Chicago Bears
AND
New England Patriots (not the fact that they win every single game, its because i just like. . . ok nevermind it is the fact that they win every single game)

Anyone watch the chicago bears game on sunday?? last 10 mins of the 4th quarter were killer.

who?

Do you mean the guy with the interception record?

Yes the guy with the interception record! And if you literally beat EVERY team in the NFL, threw the most touchdowns, had the most completions...I truly believe you would have that MANY interceptions! Hell no one is perfect and Peyton Mannings show he put on this past sunday night just goes to show

I truly believe that the Patriots are so good for a reason! Reason being that once you get on a roll (even 3-0)...your team builds a great morale and the fans support you SOOOO much more when your basking in your glory like that! Also another key factor is they are not getting hampered by key injuries this season so far like many other teams are, ya know!?!?

said Pro Football isnt fun.

All people do in pro foot ball is play to get paid. thats all

Couldn't be more wrong.

I don't understand how you guys think that all they play the game for is to get paid. That has to be one of the more stubborn things I've ever heard.

Ever notice the touchdown celebrations? Ever notice how the players try to win Super Bowls rather than quit once they reach the playoffs? All that is because they're having fun. If they were doing it just to get paid, then they would just hand the ball to the referees after each touchdown and slack-off when the post season comes around.

but Id wager that most people play only to get paid. Sacrificing my body day in and day out doesnt sound like a lot of fun.

They get paid to obtain peace of mind. The money lets them know that if they do get hurt during a game and it ends their career, then they have the money to be supported.

The players aren't thinking about getting injured on the field, they're thinking about catching the ball and getting in the endzone.

They play to have fun and it just-so-happens that they also get payed a lot of money doing what they enjoy.

how do you figure they would slack off, they would be training to be the best to get paid more. Now they might have a good time, but they dont play for fun, if they werent getting paid they would go get jobs not stay in the NFL for "fun"

does anyone know how much money each team gets paid to play in the super bowl and how much EACH player gets on the winning team? losers get like 20,000 to play and lose in the super bowl. Winners get close to 100k. Making that kind of money is fun. I would agree with that. But do you really think all those losing teams are playing for fun? Why do Top Rate players go to other ball clubs even if they have had winning seasons? Money Pride and Ego. I would say there are people that do enjoy their jobs in the NFL but to say they only play to have fun or that is the only reason they play would be silly. With the Steelers Joey Porter and Antwan Randle El left when they have just won the super bowl.. why would they leave a team that won ? SHOW ME THE MONEY Baby !!! All Im saying is If we are debating that the only reason people play in the NFL is for Fun. You are dead wrong. If we are saying people have fun? I wouldnt disagree but it is a job and you have responsibilities that are required of you to keep your job. Im sure we all have heard the saying,"I play For the Love of the Game." Now im not knockin anyone because I dont really know anyone here but I just got married and I am learning what love is. Love isnt always fun it can be but that isnt the main thing Hence the saying the "labor of Love". What I am saying is. It isnt easy and it isnt all fun and games and it takes great dedication and commitment to play in the NFL. So if they were merely seeking fun they would not play in the NFL. So to end this debate Pro Sports can be fun But it cannot be classified as main reason why someone would play in the NFL.
