Call of Duty maps are small, and it is focused on the run and gun play style, not much else. Small teams, the overall goal is to keep the action nonstop, with added kill streak abilities to give you incentive. Battlefield maps are larger because they incorparate a large variety of vehicles both air, ground, and sea, and the anti vehicle measures. Battlefield encourages teamwork i.e., squad spawns, commander slot, mini map and 3D hud spotting mechanic. Battlefield is not a simulator more like an larger arcade shooter. Call of Duty players, those who truly enjoy the game do not enjoy battlefield as much because of the larger amount of variables, and a change in gaming mechanics, which is coincides with the a common apprehension we humans have concerning change or something new.

Honestly I prefer Battlefield over Call of Duty. I myself played Call of Duty for many years, and have fond memories, however I don't look back.

I would have to go with BF....CoD has started to lose their touch with the last game that they made...some of their multiplayer maps on Ghost are too big for 6 vs 6, and the graphics for multiplayer are sub-par compared to campaign mode. With the BF4 installment they have had a multitude of problems like rubber banding and connection issues but for a whole it's a pretty good game graphics wise both multiplayer and campaign mode, I just believe they should have made some separate maps for the small game modes like TDM, STDM, and Domination. Sooooo BF has my vote because of a more consistent release of games unlike CoD.

For competitive gameplay I always thought halo was the best on the console. Until Halo 4, where too many of the core mechanics were changed, perks, loadouts, and supply drops eliminated the even playing ground. These things were added to add variety to gameplay and eliminate the skill gap between players.

I would be interested if they came out with a CoD or BF game with the qualities of both games like MW2 or 3 with BF size maps and multiplayer, but with 2 different campaign modes. Like I single player campaign mode like in CoD and BF but also a multiplayer campaign mode like Titanfall... And to top it off in multiplayer mode an ever evolving environment like in Destiny. MoH was kind of close with the combined multiplayer of CoD killstreaks and the looks of BF. I have to say I love a FPS games with vehicles in both campaign and multiplayer.

I like most first person shooter games. However, I do side more with COD. It would be nice if they could do a co-op campaign though. I like the single player campaign. But it would be awesome if they also had a co-op campaign.
