I'm not seeing much manipulation to begin with. Color changing is a good tool, but it doesn't offer much to making the image "yours"

have you tried using fractals and C4ds? they'll add zazz and style to any image, and will give you effects.

I say all this only seeing two images. Please submit more as soon as possible, and do the test images so we can tell what level you are at.

I've been on GIMP for about 6 months now, so if you have any questions I should be able to help.

What you will want to do is go to www.brushesdownload.com or www.deviantart.com or anyother website and download some brushes!!
Then google or search Deviantart for light effects and save some different images
Last search for some C4D and get a good collection of those, I know I have a C4D pack in the resource section in the design area!!!
Build up you arsnol and when you go to design, you can throw in some different effects and C4Ds, add in some brushes and you are off to a good start!!!

Do you have Skype??

XGC ZomB, Thank you for your application!

I like your progress thus far. I believe you have great potential. Your first couple of GIMP signatures are impressive seeing as though you are new to design and the program. As Radio said, GIMP can be a bit tricky at first. But you've got yourself a wonderful head-start.

Please remember to keep up with the weekly test images. It will help us gauge your progress and help you learn new techniques of the trade.

Sakura has provided some excellent GIMP tutorials, definitely try those. You might also want to try this one too. Link. I think it really fits the style that i've seen from you thus far.

Keep up the good work and i look forward to seeing more of your progress. =)
