I had this idea last year. Around XMas time, I want to put together a "Tourney-4-Tots" Halo 3 Tournament. The entry fee will be a $10 un-opened toy, or a cash donation of a $10 minimum. All donations will go to Toys-4-Tots which is an organization I am sure you have heard of.

Problem: I don't have the means, connections, or even the funds to do this on my own. I am looking for anyone that has any connections to: A hall or Banquet room to hold it, TVs, 360's, Food & Drink, and maybe even a prize for the winner(s). Anyone that helps make this possible will surely have thier name slapped all over it. Could be good marketing too.

Please let me know if you, or anyone you know can help.

Just a suggestion, you could use a church for something like this, most of them have big dining halls or something to use, and if it were for a good cause I dont think they would have problem, plus I used to practice with a rock band in a church basement, so they should be open to stuff, especially if its for charity.

Ditto, I started playing halo by going to all nighters at my church. My church may be willing, it's a small one, but there's a big room where the kids meet for their Sunday school service, and it's pretty big. Only thing is, cursing is obviously prohibited. Duh. But it's really big, can't say how big though. But, I do have 2 projectors at my house and I know I have some friends who most likely have projectors. My friend can hook up capture cards for screens. I have like what, 6 computer monitors in my basement. So, yeah, if a lot of people pitch in this could work out for the better :) But I would want it to be as professional as possible you know? People may need to bring their own team's (or singles) system. Would love it if TVs were donated to use. and I'll set up projects for public viewing, I can use programs that allow split screen projection, or multi monitoring. I would be glad, actually, I'm ecstatic, if I'm able to help out with this.

well, if people were willing to travel all that way, and we got a good commitment for people showing up, then you could probably close it to XG only, besides maybe local people and stuff, but thats if, and only if, you get people to commit.

Gald to hear so many people are excited about it. This idea has sat for months in Caveziels forum. lol Anywho, no it would not be XG only. I want anyone and everyone interested in Halo3 to participate. The more participants, the more I can donate to Toys-For-Tots. I'm thinking of making it a 4v4. $25 best buy gift cards to each member of the winning team. I'll hit up some local churches to see about the hall... I also wanna hit up some executives at a place like rent-a-center or rent-to-own about some tv's. i'm thinking 8 tv's. 4 players (one team) per tv. Double elim. I already got 2 connections that can make me up ads for flyers and the web. If anyone has some good connections for donating the use of tv's, let me know. Add me to your FL for my phone number.

If Xiled Gamerz really wana get together and play together and help out the children along the, way, I see no reason not to travel! I think an FFA should probably be added too. I could, maybe, work with my music tech class in school to borrow some equipment. My teacher let's me borrow multi mic outputs. I'd be willing to commentate.
