I feel at this point I've heard these questions enough during my time since XBL started. What is a Windows Live ID? -It's your Microsoft Services account that you will use for MSFT services like MSN Messenger, Xbox Live, Zune, etc. Change my Windows Live ID? -Go to your account management on your XBOX then go to your information panel to select Windows Live ID. You can see the choice on the Windows Live ID website though at this time this option doesn't seem to work in any circumstance. This means you can only change the email you use to recover your gamertag or use for Zune and other services under one Profile name is on the xbox or on a friend's xbox if you do not have one. To change your Windows Live ID? -To change your WLID there are requirements to start. +Must have your current WLID Account Password (this may or may not be the same as your email pw depending on your account setup info) +Must have another WLID Account created. This means that just having an email is not enough. You must go to live.com and make the account. +Must wait 30 Days from the time you make a new WLID Account to associate it with an existing XBL Gamertag. These new WLIDs can on the other hand be used to make a brand new gamertag due to having to move your whole Microsoft account and licenses. +Must have the current WLID passwords for both acccounts and in some cases access to the individual email inboxs. Merging accounts? -This option seems to be unavailable or until further notice. Unable to play game due to age on account. (This message can be delivered in a multitude of different readings, same cause) -Your Windows Live ID was originally setup with a Date of Birth, DoB, that would have you under the age of 13. Some game publishers such as EA, at the time of this posting and not from Microsoft's power, make restrictions on who can play their game depending on your account's age. Yes you can change the apparent age on the Windows Live ID website though the original entered date seems to be stored on the server. This stored DoB seems unaffected by whatever information you may later use. So if you're trying to play a game giving you an age restriction at the time of this posting the only solution is to make a new XBL Gamertag If someone resets your multiplayer rank or stats for a specific Multiplayer game then you need to contact the specific game publisher. So for example if on CoD: MW3 someone resets your rank and/or prestige the only customer support that can make this right/get your stats back is Infinity Ward/Activision.
