OK, I figured since this thread is talking allot about the captain's classes that I should say something. First let go through what my class includes: •Become a good follower first. •Do the responsibilities that are required of you, take the advice of your leaders and learn from their experiences. •Build positive relationships. •Great Communication •Work with excellence. •Rely on discipline, not emotion. •Depend on the Honor Code (and don’t bend it), Rank Structure and those around you for your decisions •Make adding value your goal. •Teach those around you how to do their responsibilities. •As a Captain, you're put into a position to lead others, but through hard work, you'll learn what you need to be a good leader, to become someone that others want to follow. •Always be respectful to everyone. •Sound decision making, remembering that you never have to make a decision on your own. •When dealing with issues you should ask three questions. What's good for XG, what's good for your division, and finally what's best for your squad. •Make sure you recruit properly and get to know those recruits. •Know, understand and be able to teach all the responsibilities of the lower ranks. •Act in a professional manner at all times. •Ensure members are following the honor code and have registered at www.xiledgaming.com. •Be active online in the game and on the forums. •Show dedication and commitment while assisting your General run a successful squad. •Run weekly meetings and squad practices •Evaluate and vote on new recruits •Register on www.clancomplete.com, make challenges and play in clan matches •Train your Lieutenant as your replacement. •Follow the chain of command and take issues to your General not Higher ranks •Learn how to navigate the website. •Familiarize yourself with all aspects of XG My captain's class already includes a section on recruiting. My thoughts are don't ever recruit someone until you play at least three games with them, and I tell my guys to never recruit anyone until they see how that person will act when they lose. A potential recruit could be the nicest person in the world while they are wining, but when they start to lose they may change into the most awful person in the world to play with. What separates Leaders from Great Leaders is that Great Leaders know how to take advice and follow others when needed.
