Why do people have to pick on Nationality?

So im Australian, it does not mean i ride a Kangaroo around.

New Zealanders, They do not Shag sheep.

Americans, Dont always eat at Mc Donalds.

Stereotyping.

I love to Travel, ive been to America, Mexico, England, Korea, Malaysia & Scottland.

This year i may be going to Malaysia again & Vietnam.

I dont see why some people have to pick on Nationality when we share the world together. Whats the point, Do people feel better when making someone feel bad for where they came from?

My Home is Your Home, id Love you to come visit. :D

Well not everyone is exposed to different cultures or nationalities. The ones who are less tolerant are the who have been exposed to the variety of cultures. A big part of it also falls upon the parents and how exactly the raise their children. Television can also affect or warp the minds of people. Everyone watches TV and what's on TV is Americans eating McDonald's or Australians with their Kangaroo's, But you've traveled and you have broadened your horizon so to speak or more so you perception of different cultures and nationalities as well as I have and what you can do is when someone does stereotype is prove them wrong with facts and the proof that you have been in different places experimenting with different cultures so to speak.

And I'd like to visit Australia, seems like a legit place to visit.

not always @ lucky some people just have issues about asking how another culture differs from their own and maybe they have had a bad experience with someone from that culture and they regretfully take it out on someone else

I don't think the world would be able to 'function' without stereotypes in all honesty.
I've been lucky to never have faced racial/cultural stereotyping but have have been effected by other ones just as bad regarding how I live my life / my background.

well the biggest thing is not every one is smart enough to go by rule kinda like this clan, it functions like a well oiled machine, and to be honest if people could get past racism and stereotyping they could focus on better things like coming up with a better source for energy or ways to prevent these huge disasters such as the one in japan and we could all make this world a better place but theres always gonna be those people who just dont realize that their actions cause an equal and opposite reaction as shooting a gun- a person goes to the hospital and may even die so that was my massive rant one y the world sucks

It's funny, I always get people asking me 'did a dingo eat your baby?!' when they figure out I'm from Australia. I've learned to take it in good humour, but if their actually trying to be insulting is when I go off. In this world today, no matter what country your from, people are always going to reference something about the place your from because of what some of the media portray on television. Although I still have no clue why people assume Aussie's ride kangaroo's everywhere
