Im mixed on it... i understand that what they are doing is so they can expand and improve the 360's live capabilities which is a plus, but it will be a loss for those who still play the original games online. I hear bungie is trying to integrate halo 2 with the 360s servers which is cool.. but i feel sorry for those who enjoy other games on the network.
Although if it means xbox 360's live will be improved further im all for it.

I think the only game people really care about it for is Halo2. Aside from that, what other Live supported games are being played still?

Its a safe move on MS's part IMO, just because these servers werent getting much use at all, and were a drain on resources, which ultimately could be brought into the main Live servers

I tottally agree. I don't think anybody who has an original xbox plays any other game besides halo 2 online.

:p i don't think it was that bad...... i mean on the original xbox I think i had more genuine fun, none of these cheivos etc, simple games that focused on the storyline or gameplay rather than trying to be the best of the best graphics wise....

The friends list will most likely be extended past 100 now that the original xbox live structure is being taken down this spring. That was the main reason friends list extension hadn't happened yet according to major nelson.

I had alot of good times playing Halo 2 and I feel bad for the people who still play it but if it means improving 360 live then I guess its for the best. And I definetly can see why Microsoft is doing it because I cant imagine it is profitable to keep them up for the very few people who still play.
