No Man Left Behind:
All leadership needs to be making sure that no one is left behind in the clan. Leadership should be gaming with the members of the clan. Captains should be gaming with members of their squads. If someone isn’t gaming with the squad/clan, don’t just assume that they are inactive. Reach out to them because a lot of times the reason that they are not gaming with the squad/clan is because no one is reaching out to them. If you have someone that is not playing the same games as the clan, please find them a clan that is playing the same games as them. Our goal is for our members to all have someone to game with and sometimes that means finding them a new home so that they can also enjoy being in the community.
Summer Months:
It is quickly coming up on summer, which poses two issues that need to be addressed. First off, the end of the school year is quickly approaching, which means that there will be a lot more people on the games, providing us with new recruiting opportunities, but beware that many of them may be underage for our community. Be vigilant while recruiting, and please remember to properly vet your possible new recruits. The second thing that everyone needs to be prepared for during the summer is clan members taking vacations. If you are planning on taking a vacation, please remember to message your leadership so that they know that you are not inactive. It has happened that someone goes on vacation forgets to notify leadership, and they get removed for inactivity. All pf this boils down to the proper execution of communication.
Creating Activity
Probably the biggest question heard by Generals(Clan Leaders) and Captains(Squad Leaders) is how to increase activity. Often times, you will see a clan member who may not play a lot with the clan and/or never makes it few if any meetings. While there are many ways that are done now(Meetings, Game Nights, Clan Parties), one way that is often overlooked may also one of the easiest. When you see them online, ask for an invite to their party and/or game. Play with them, and make sure that others play with them. When you go to them, and you put forth the effort, then they are more apt to reciprocate those actions. The Bottom Line, Have fun, play games.
