Usergroup Requests:
When a recruit signs up on the website to join the community, they do not need to be accepted into the usergroup until the recruitment period is over (one week). This will keep your usergroup from getting out of control if that potential member ends up not making it to Private. Although you, as XS's, get notifications of someone requesting to join the usergroup, you should not be accepting these because that is the General's responsibility. This is an example of micromanaging the clan.
Communication:
As we all know Communication is the Key to Success; therefore communication needs to be consistent. Generals, if you are going weeks without being in touch with you clans (other than Sunday meetings) then you are not doing your job to be successful and your clan will suffer. XSs, if the only time you spend with your generals is at Sunday meetings, then you are not doing your job and your section will suffer. Work on doing a better job of being a better communicator because your clan or section need an effective leaders that put an emphasis on communication.
Recycling Leadership
All ranks must be earned - handing somebody a leadership rank only because they have previously held a leadership rank in the past is not what you and your leaders should focus on when considering promotions. Go through their current rank responsibilities and ensure that they are already doing what is expected of them at that rank. Then take a look at the responsibilities of the next rank and evaluate whether or not you think they can handle the extra responsibilities of that rank - if you feel like they could fulfill some but not all, start working with them on those areas that they need training on.
