When my major was Film Production, I was looking into Peter Jackson and The Silmarillion for a research paper. He had plans to  make the movie, which was planned on coming out later this year or early next year, but he was blocked by Tolkien's kids. Broke my heart. I will never understand why they hate him and his productions. I personally think he did an AMAZING job, and don't think anyone else could have done it the way he did or have his imagination for the series. He almost got blocked from doing The Hobbit, but he had already bought the movie rights for it, so there was nothing Tolkien's kids could do about it.</p></blockquote><p></p>
