I definitely leave everything behind. In the first couple of days that I got XBL I found some of my most trusted friends here in XG before I brought them in. We had been playing for a couple of days and I was deeply involved in politics, and there was an election. One of them mentioned the vote, and we started talking about it. Well, needless to say we agreed never to speak about politics again on XBL, luckily we were all mature enough to say that, I like hanging around with you, you are fun to play with, but if we discuss politics again, it isn't going to end up pretty. A couple of days later, I got recruited into Nightmare, and then brought them in as well. Five months have passed, and we still play together on almost a daily basis, and when we play, the most that we will get into is discussions about halo, the clan, the community, and people's kids and jobs. Had we continued to talk politics, I can't say that that would be the case, and it makes me sad to even consider the possibility. We are a large group of people who ALL have ONE thing in common - gaming. That's what we're here for. I don't WANT to dislike anyone for any reason, I choose who I prefer to play with based on their personality and dedication to XG as a whole, the vision and the community. Now, don't get me wrong, I do enjoy a friendly discussion (I still want to get in on the vent at some point in time) but in doing so I am choosing to participate in a separate conversation that I feel is private and removed from the overall community being. Anywho, there's my cents... someone else can count them if they want to know how much there is :D
