[QUOTE="XGC Pentagram, post: 17683, member: 492"] umm... I just want to throw in my two cents here, what is the problem with discussing any topics on the forums? Hylander, if you dont want to talk politics, then dont, nobody forces you to go on these forums and type up responses, and nobody makes you sit in the pregame lobby to talk either. Some people like to do that sort of thing, and I dont think its drama to have a healthy debate, as long as people arent going to be jerks about it. Again, I here both sides, and I understand, what with other threads being so full of drama and other garbage, your desire to keep these things to a minimum, but I think that it is cool to be able to have discussions and debates online here, since I can be on here several times during the day instead of having to get online for the vent, which is schedualed during a conflict for me. Just my two cents, I think that people should have freedom of speech, but just like in real life, there are consequences for people who run their mouths. I had to follow up to get a recruit booted from XG because he was calling my captain a f4ggot. Sure, he had the RIGHT to say it, but because he said it, he was booted. So freedom of speach is never 100% free, because anybody, anywhere can say whatever they want, but the reprocutions are always different. It isnt really a black and white thing, so I think that people should not be allowed to say whatever they want, because, as Hylander said, we have a little thing called the honor code, and its there for a reason. We need to abide by it, although I think some people take it a little too seriously, like Frogg from Zealots forum, using the language filter to its full advantage. Should Zealot just turn the other cheek? No, he should have the RIGHT to stand up for himself, because that seems more important to me then not talking back at all. whoo, I have a lot of two cents!!!
