Beyond Light, the game's next big expansion, has been delayed. Bungie announced on its website that it's pushing the launch to November 10 across all platforms, including PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
"The past few months have been a challenge and will continue to be during this pandemic," it said in a post. "We've learned to create together in a new way, by having to work apart from one another. Despite these hurdles, we're still committed to the same level of quality that our fans expect."

  On Tuesday, July 14, we released Hotfix 2.9.1.1. to players. This hotfix included the following resolved issues:
  
  Witherhoard’s projectiles appeared randomly on screen when using abilities or when stowed away.

• The reassigned Interact button didn’t revive players on custom controller scheme.

  • When Glide Jump cancelling, Warlocks and Titans auto-jumped after landing.
  • Hunters kneeled after dodging when using Hold Crouch, but stood when using Toggle Crouch.
  • The Fencing Salute Emote allowed players to get out of the environment.
  • The Emissary Whisperer Triumph has been removed.
  • Players could get stuck in the Prophecy Dungeon’s hallway between the Wasteland and Hexahedron areas.

• Moments of Triumph will be extended to November 10, 2020. Cutting it close on some of those tougher Triumphs? Here’s a little extra time to finish them off.
• The show must go on: Festival of the Lost will now take place during Season of Arrivals, beginning on October 6.
• We’re planning a handful of ritual activity modifiers to look forward to:
  • Increased Valor
  • Increased Infamy
  • Increased [REDACTED]
  • A few additional Iron Banner events between September and November.

Completing all available Nightfalls on Grandmaster difficulty to earn the Conqueror title, we made some adjustments to activity rewards.

Nightfall: The Ordeal

• Increase Masterwork material drops for Grandmaster Nightfall difficulty.
• Grandmaster completion at Platinum, Gold, and Silver levels now have higher chances of dropping an Exotic armor item.
• Grandmaster completion at Platinum level now guarantees one Ascendant Shard (with a small chance at one additional), and four Enhancement Prisms (with a moderate chance at 1-2 additional).
• Grandmaster completion at Gold level now guarantees two Enhancement Prisms (with a moderate chance at two additional).
• Grandmaster completion at Silver level now has a small chance at two Enhancement Prisms.

Grandmaster difficulty becomes available on Tuesday, July 21, at 10 AM PT.


Five raids also entered “featured” status, losing their weekly loot lockouts. In other words, players can play the featured raids multiple times a week to grind out high-stat armor and raid Exotics that they may not have earned yet!

The Seeker of Brilliance perk has been temporarily disabled. Our current goal is to have a hotfix in early August

The annual tradition to honor the sacrifices of Guardians everywhere has come again. Eva has returned to the Tower and awaits you near the Statue of Heroes. Gather and celebrate the resilience of humanity's foremost defenders. The Solstice of Heroes event runs from August 11, to September 8.
It signifies the end of one year and welcomes the new to come, last year players were treated to a first glance at Armor 2.0
It also runs concurrently with the Destiny 2 Moments of Triumph event.
The Solstice of Heroes event is free for all Destiny 2 players whether they have the season pass or not. All you need to do is jump into the game and get started when it goes live.

A builder has recreated the Tower social space from Destiny 2 in Minecraft

YouTuber EetzJosh showed off the creation with a lengthy walkthrough of the space. EetzJosh also credits fellow creators Mealyac and Limonada for their assistance with the project.

EetzJosh said the project took a total of 168 hours across three months, and altogether it includes 226,089 meticulously placed blocks. It also uses the BSL Shaders and Optifine mods. He also mentions that he may release it as a file at some point if people are interested, so players can enjoy walking around the tower themselves.

When Destiny 2 Beyond Light releases in November, developer Bungie will be sunsetting a huge portion of its weapon and armor options.
Bungie has explained that sunsetting is meant to allow the developers the opportunity to introduce new, strong perks without worrying about trying to “beat” existing weapons.

The three new subclasses coming to the game, each of which uses Stasis, the new Darkness-infused power source that is arriving with this expansion.

Warlocks gain the abilities of the Shadebinder, who appears to wield a staff to fracture enemies with cold, reminiscent of a fantasy frost mage. Hunters will take on the role of the Revenant, who seems to wield two kamas that they can fling at enemies and bounce off walls. Finally, Titan players can look forward to taking on the role of the Behemoth, who seems to “hulk out” and create a smashing fist that can be slammed into enemies.

Solstice of Heroes: Ornament Glows
We became aware of a difference between how the universal armor glow bundle icon was depicted and how it visually performed in the game. After investigating the issue, we felt the difference between them was too vast. We have revisited the glow intensity of these ornaments and enhanced the in-game appearance to match the icon as closely as possible.

SLEEPER NODES
Many players returning to content released in the earlier years of Destiny 2. One of these rewards is the unique emblem players unlock after collecting all the available Sleeper Nodes introduced in Destiny 2: Warmind

Due to the way that the Sleeper Nodes were created, we are unable to completely remove the possibility of receiving duplicate Override Frequencies, but we are making some improvements to greatly reduce the odds of receiving a duplicate. The following tips will help you avoid duplicates and acquire those final elusive nodes.

• When combining Resonate Stems, it is very unlikely that the resulting Override Frequency will unlock a node in your current area. For example, if you need to unlock a node in Heatsink, you should leave Heatsink before creating an Override Frequency.
• Destiny 2 has an internal checklist of nodes you have unlocked. This checklist is separate from the count you see in game, and prior to this fix, the checklist would frequently be cleared. Clearing this checklist is the reason duplicates were so common. Going forward, the checklist will never be cleared.
  • Note: If you create an Override Frequency for a node that you have opened in the past, you should open the node again instead of deleting the Override Frequency. This will allow the internal checklist to be updated, and help prevent future duplicates.
• In different terms, the team has created a form of “bad luck protection” for Sleeper Nodes, but the tracking is starting fresh.

• Fix an issue where player spawn effects would freeze in Gambit.
• Fix an issue where the ADS on the Cold Denial Season Pass ornament was different than the base weapon model.
• Redrix’s Broadsword will now be available to reclaim from Collections
  • Note: This will be locked to the first roll rewarded when completing the Broadsword quest
• Spider will begin offering three weekly “Wanted” adventure bounties
• Fix an issue that prevented the Exotic perk on the Merciless Fusion Rifle from triggering

• Fixed an issue where the Binary System ornament for Symmetry did not have enemy highlighting.
• Fixed a bug where MIDA Multi-Tool's catalyst wasn't dropping.

ACTIVITIES​

• Fixed Hive bosses, Ananh, Brood Queen, and Xillox not counting as Hive boss kills in bounties.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented some quest items from dropping in the Moon freeroam activity.
• This prevented completion of several "Essence" quests, such as Essence of Rage, Essence of Insanity, and Essence of Servitude.
• Fixed an issue where the Champions Reward banner (Platinum, Gold, etc.) for Legend and Master Lost Sectors until was only showing up once a player returned to orbit.
• Fixed an issue where some players could not progress through New Light if they lose Zavala's Gift.

STRIKES​

• Fixed an issue where some players couldn't respawn if they died during the boss fight of the Inverted Spire strike.
• Fixed an issue where a fireteam could encounter other fireteams in Sorrow's Harbor and be unable to complete the Scarlet Keep strike.
• Fixed an issue where players were not being notified that Grandmaster Nightfall was available.
• Fixed an issue where Grandmaster Nightfall timer was set to 30 minutes.

RAIDS AND DUNGEONS​

• Fixed a bug where Garden of Salvation flawless completions would fail to award the Inherent Perfection Triumph.
• Fixed an issue in the Garden of Salvation raid where players could backtrack from the boss checkpoint to complete the first encounter again for rewards.
• Fixed a bug where Taken Psions would replicate too rapidly in some Prophecy dungeon encounters.
• Fixed an issue in Deep Stone Crypt raid where players could deal damage to Atraks-1 at an unintended time.
• Fixed an issue where players could exit the environment in the Deep Stone Crypt raid.
• Fixed an issue where players could have "Shelter From the Storm" permanently applied in the Deep Stone Crypt raid.
• Fixed various issues affecting the Guided Games version of Deep Stone Crypt.
• Fixed a bug in Deep Stone Crypt where players were stuck in suppressed state after crash.
• Improved health bar rubber-banding behavior in the Dûl Incaru boss encounter in the Shattered Throne dungeon.

GAMBIT​

• Removed "Might of the Traveler" Gambit weekly bounty.
• Fixed an issue causing high value targets to drop more motes than intended.

CRUCIBLE​

• Fixed areas where players could exit the environment in the following Crucible maps:
  • Exodus Blue
  • Widow's Court
  • Twilight Gap

• Fixed an issue where Rumble matches were not entering overtime.

REWARDS​

• Added missing lore tab for the Starfarer 7M Dawning ship.
• Fixed an issue where some quests provided by Eris used "challenge" iconography but didn't grant Powerful rewards.
  • Iconography changed to normal quest branding.
• Fixed an issue which was causing the Season of the Hunt Lure to output lower than expected armor stats from the "Coup de Grace" Celebrant Hunt. Armor now has a much greater chance to be rewarded with a high-stat roll.
• Fixed an issue where powerful rewards from the Season of the Hunt mission "Coup de Grace" were not correctly gated weekly, per class.
• GENERAL
  • Optimized Lighting on PC GPUs to help increase performance.
  • Fixed an issue where clan rosters were not loading correctly on PlayStation 5.
  • Here’s a look at what’s sticking around from Season of the Hunt until the end of Year 4.

      • Decrease the amount of grind required Season over Season for players that want to earn them all.
      
      But wait, what does gilded mean?
      • A series of Seasonal objectives to gild a core ritual Title.
      • A new border around the Seal in the Triumphs UI.
      • A pip tracking how many times in your career that you've gilded a given Title.
      • A new color and symbol for the Title over your head. So that you can show off, of course.

    • KNOWN ISSUES​

      While we continue investigating various known issues, here is a list of the latest issues that were reported to us in our #Help Forum:
      • We're investigating an issue with Sony where Playstation users can't send invites through the Companion App or Bungie.net.
      • The Lightseeker Triumph isn't unlocking after claiming all five feathers from the Harbinger mission.
      • The Birds of a Feather Triumph is not unlocking when players complete the Harbinger activity when all players have Hawkmoon equipped.
      • VO lines are not playing during the Harbinger activity.
      • The black Blight orbs left behind by the High Celebrant won't open portals if shot by Sidearms.
      • The High Celebrant will always show "Immune" damage, even with the Wrathborn buff active. The High Celebrant will still take the proper damage if the buff is active. This will be resolved in a future update.
      • The Augment lockout timer occasionally resets during the final encounter against Taniks.
      • Sometimes the wrong tether box gets tethered during the final encounter of the Garden of Salvation raid.
      • The plates in the puzzle room during the Shuro Chi encounter in the Last Wish raid sometimes won't work if a Titan Ward of Dawn or Warlock Well of Radiance touch them.

This week Bungie announced the Women@Bungie. The members come from within the studio and work toward their shared mission
“to provide a safe, empowering space to share our common experiences as women, a place to build a network, and give and receive practical and emotional support"

The Gaming Community Expo (GCX) is kicking off next week from June 17 through June 20.
GCX website for the full details. A charity marathon will be going on alongside the event raising money 24/7 for St. Jude Children’s Hospital from June 13 till June 20. Tune in on the GCX channel

Bungie will be offering an emblem for any $50 donations during the event.
