Ok im not really sure why but on Call of duty 4 Team death i normally dont do so great and im not that good at kills. But whenever i play objective games i dont know why but just i all of the sudden get kills like never before and also manage to normally get the objective like the headquarter or the bomb on search. All at the same time! Is there any differince in the game types that would cause me to do better???

Some of my guys say the same thing. I think its because in TD people tend to camp corners and stay in one general spot because they know if the other team wants to get kills theyll have to go look for them...then the other team gets ambushed and it starts an endless cycle of your team running back to were the other team is camping at. As for objective based games people actually leave their spawns because they cant win by just camping like they do in TDM. When I play TDM i have a motto that i follow..."if you cant beat em join em"...i guees wat im trying to say is if you find someone camping and theyve killed you try to resist the urge to go get a revenge kill because know he knows ur coming and hes gonna be more ready than you are because ur flustered....i always find atleast one person on my team who will keep running back to the camper and its best to just leave them alone and go find a corner yourself

Its all tactics. Plain and Simple in objective games you know where they will come from. In TD they can be anywhere. Stay on your toes and keep trigger happy.

Try to get the people you play with to communicate. There is the key to success in any game mode. Communicating the opposing teams spawn then covering flanks and not "Spawn Killing" but observing enemy movement and controlling it is essential. Even if you are playing with people who dont talk play and learn spawns and where the majority of enemy "funnel to" for big numbers on any mode. Think... "where would i go if i was spawning there? what would i do?"

I have a set group of people I play with and we all communicate very well, but if I play by myself i tend to get every ******* on xbox live on my team so i tend not to care about the team when im by myself because i know if i play smart and look out for myself i can get a good Kd ratio and alot of points. As for strategy...i dont think theres nearly as much strategy involved in CoD as there is in halo 3 or Halo 2. CoD is kinda like a fast pace run-n-gun while halo is like a tactical shooter.......and as for spawn killing i only do it when the enemy team doesnt leave there spawn....like when all they do is sit back there and snipe.....if theyre dumb enough to just sit back in their spawns then theyre dumb enough to get spawn killed, and i dont feel sorry at all for them because its their on fault...they have the same amount of time you do to get out of thier spawns

I don't like doing regular team deathmatch because everytime i do that, i pretty much just play against all lvl 10 prestige 55's and they always tear my team apart. That's why I always do Mercenary team deathmatch because it's always random teams so you will have a chance to win. I do much better in Mercenary TDM than regular TDM.

I've been stuck at a .99 k/d ratio forever, can never get back to 1.00 or better. :(

I will NOT play regular team deathmatch if I play regular it is an objective game. Even in those i get ticked when i hit someone 19 times and they turn around and shoot me with a pistol and boom im dead.

I would say its not the game your playing...its just you need more expierence with Team Deathmatches. With objective games, of course you're going to get more kills because everybody is going to the same place, wheather it be Search and Destroy, Headquaters, or Sabatage....your bound to get more kills...but then again..its not always like that. I would suggest this: Get a couple friends, 5 if you can, and do a scrim deathmatch on a map you all are good on, then once you think your ready to go into ranked matches, go for it. Hope I helped.

team death match requires you to get the most kills, s and d requires you to stay alive while either defending or attacking an objective. It probably means your better at surviving rather then going trigger happy.
