Boosting in borderlands is hardly boosting. It's simply playing with a higher level friend to level up faster. There are no leaderboards, it's not happening while other players are in the game (and if it is than they made the choice to join their friends game). If that is cause to get in trouble with xiled gaming than I guess I should be banned because I play with higher level friends on borderlands all the time.

So by your logic, I cannot play with a higher leveled friend on borderlands because it will give me more xp than if i played with people my own level. Hmm..hardly seems right for a gaming COMMUNITY. Lay off the rules, it's not like he's going to a cod game and boosting headshots. He's leveling up in a game that is only campaign. There is no leaderboards and no matchmaking (outside of campaign). Also, you probably don't know this but Gearbox supports modding for borderlands 2. So are we therefore not allowed to mod a game that the developer encourages us to, even though it's against the xiled rules? The rules aren't meant for games that are campaign based like borderlands, they're meant for FPS and games that have leaderboards that will be directly affected by somebody boosting.

Markovzero feel free to add me, as I would gladly let you join my game to level up your siren.

I can see what you are saying, boosting's definition is surrounded by terms that entertain the idea of gaining an unfair advantage over others. In campaign without others or leaderboards I would not consider it boosting but playing around. I would advise using a different term than boosting; with such a negative term you will receive unwanted questions and problems. Just food for thought when if ever using the term boosting again on a website that states no boosting is tolerated...Any further questions should be directed up your chain of command if what I am saying is unclear!

All of this misinformation is amazing! It is NOT against XG rules to run co-op games in any manner ... modded or otherwise. If no online gamer is grieviously injured or has their stats damaged.. then play is allowed. This is not a pvp game thus no infractions are possible. ..
