Ok so I was looking at our news updates and I was thinking for those who bookmark their clans forums why not have a scrolling bar that shows on every page like you do when you're promoting a tournament but instead have it permanently there scrolling through all the latest news kinda like how cnn has the bar at the bottom going through everything. It would be a good way for everyone to stay up to date with clan news and it would possibly bring more attention/interests to certain parts of the website.
I was also thinking maybe for the usergroups you can add Lt's and Sgts on there as far as leadership banners are concerned, I think it would give them a much added boost to know they have a banner that not only comes with the name change. Also for those who forgets the rank structure it would help the new members differentiate between leadership and possibly help remember who their Sgt and LT are by seeing that consistently on the website.
Now i'm not sure if it's just XS's that can post on the individual divisions front page but I was thinking that generals should be able to post the small promotions like Sgt and Lt promotions on the front page just to show some extra love to the guys. Of course I wouldn't want it posted on the Home Home page but just in the front page of XGC, if I had two promotions to sgt I can just post a lil something on there and i'm done. I also think the front pages for the individual divisions needs to be more interactive at least in the sense of not everyone passing it by, when I was in XGC I barely went to the home page for us unless a promotion or a split was happening and it was posted on the Home page. I'm not really sure as for what you can do to make the homepage a lil more interactive, I heard the last time a chat was done it was a complete failure. So maybe have the site column that shows the posts from the threads if it's possible to scroll up and down maybe show the first 10 posts or so and then it refreshes itself every 5 to 7 mins with another 10 posts or so idk maybe i'm not sure lol.
Now this is a not for sure thing because i'm not sure what this site can do as far as its applications but I was thinking for those of us in a clan or just all members period maybe have a scrolling side bar, i'm not sure if thats what its called but like you gave platinum members the option to use hypster well as another option you can add a scrolling side bar that members can custom edit for their own with all the quick links right next to the scrolling bar which can be maximized or minimized. I'm sure if this site can't do it there's some type of application out there, but I think it would make things easier for user navigation and definitely make getting platinum or addict a very very helpful tool for those who aren't as technologically sound as the rest of us.
